The Studio is a multi-purpose room which can be used for meetings, workshops, small scale performances, information events and conferences. The venue is equipped with multi media presentation equipment, and a PA and lighting systems.
The hire charge for the Studio is on a session basis. Two levels of charges apply:
The local rate – applied to not for profit/charity organisations
Commercial rate – applied to commercial ventures

*Daytime sessions are for 4 hours from 9am – 1pm and 1.30pm – 5.30pm and the evening session is from 6pm – 11pm

For performances in the Studio the following charges apply:
Box Office
- Ticketing Administration charge £25.00 plus vat per performance (charges apply from 1st Jan 2012). Includes supply of tickets, sales from our box office and inclusion of your event on the Arts Complex website (with on line ticketing facility)
- Credit card commission charges will be passed on to hirer
- Commercial and week hires – no charge
- Local rate hires - £50 plus vat
Deadlines for copy are Spring/Summer brochure – 1st November, Autumn brochure – 1st June.

Performing Rights Society (PRS)
For all events where music is played a Performing Rights Society charge will be passed on to the hire based upon a percentage of the net box office as follows:
- Variety/pantomime 2% of net box office plus vat
- Popular music 3% of net box office plus vat
- Classical music 5.5% of net box office plus vat
- Dance displays to pre-recorded backing music – set fee of £25.00 plus vat per performance
Merchandise
Any sales made at the venue as part of show merchandising will be subject to the following commission:
- 10% if hirer sells goods
- 15% if Arts Complex staff sell goods
